This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling payroll volume, working across multiple states, and navigating a flexible schedule around payroll deadlines.ResponsibilitiesProcess biweekly payrollProcess payroll for a high volume of employeesHandle multi-state payroll across Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, and South DakotaProcess both hourly and salaried payroll; no union payrollPull and compile payroll reports and distribute themCommunicate via email with departmentsComplete basic Excel data entry and uploadsUtilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing; ADP handles payroll taxes and filingsSchedule3–4 days per week, averaging 24–32 hours/weekSome weeks may require up to 40 hours based on payroll volumePayroll weeks: Monday–WednesdayFollowing week: Tuesday–FridayFlexible daily hours, generally 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PMOnsite in Grand Rapids, MIQualifications2–3 years of payroll processing experienceExperience with ADP Workforce NowBasic Excel skillsAbility to manage payroll across multiple companies and statesStrong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with payroll deadlinesPreferredEmployee Navigator experienceHigh-volume payroll experienceMulti-state payroll experience
