Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Home health setting serving geriatric patients, including wound care cases
• Minimum of 23-24 visits per week required to qualify for a 40-hour guarantee
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, no weekends required
• No mandatory on-call, though discretionary on-call may be available
• May require travel to surrounding counties in addition to primary territory
• Charting completed in Kinnser/Wellsky system, must be done onsite and cannot be taken home
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient, not including travel to or from home

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• State license required in hand at time of consideration, with no license hits accepted; license required if applicable
• Valid driver's license required
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance
• OASIS experience preferred
• Full 7-year work history with all employment gaps explained

Additional Information

• Focus on patient-centered, quality care with an emphasis on patients per week rather than per day
• Candidates should be punctual, self-motivated, and proficient with charting responsibilities
• Any color scrubs accepted with closed-toe shoes required
• COVID vaccination required with religious declination allowed; flu vaccine may be declined
• All required compliance documents must be finalized before starting patient care, which may take 2-3 weeks
• All time-off requests must be submitted at time of consideration, with no additional time off accepted after an offer is made
• Contract length typically 4-6 months, with less experienced clinicians required to complete a full 6-month term
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius of the assignment area
