Assembly Operator I

Location: Fairview, NC
Pay Rate: $19.37 per hour
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule:

• Training: Mid-shift, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, for approximately 6–8 weeks
• Regular Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
• Overtime: Mandatory Saturdays may be required based on production needs

TE Connectivity is seeking reliable and detail-oriented candidates for an Assembly Operator I position at our Fairview, NC facility. We manufacture relays and switches for the aerospace industry.

The Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling components according to work instructions, drawings, and quality standards. This position may require the use of microscopes, small hand tools, measuring devices, and fixtures to produce high-quality parts for our customers.

The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, is eager to learn, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to safety, quality, and productivity. All team members are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area while following TE Connectivity’s Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect completed work using quality standards and work instructions.
• Perform pull tests as required for specific operations.
• Measure components using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
• Inspect products according to blueprints and specifications.
• Complete required operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs when needed.
• Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the work area.
• Follow company and departmental guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Read and perform tasks according to technical drawings.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet production goals.
• Experience using measuring devices such as gauges and calipers preferred.
• Availability to work overtime, including mandatory Saturdays when required.
• Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 75% of the time.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Ability to move between work zones.
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions in English.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
