Desktop Support Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Deskside Technician II for 3+ months to provide onsite IT support in a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have VIP/white glove experience, strong troubleshooting skills, experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments, and the ability to deliver exceptional end-user support with professionalism and urgency.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop and laptop support for Windows and Mac devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues.
  • Support printers, scanners, mobile devices, wireless connectivity, VPN access, and other peripherals.
  • Perform IMAC activities (Install, Move, Add, and Change services).
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and repair IT equipment.
  • Track and resolve incidents and service requests through the ticketing system.
  • Perform backup, restoration, and migration of user data.
  • Provide Smart Hands support for networking, server, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory and documentation.
  • Research and resolve complex technical issues using knowledge bases and technical resources.
  • Support executive users as needed.
  • Assist with after-hours and on-call support when required.
  • Travel to nearby client locations as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of deskside, desktop, or end-user support experience in a corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Windows 10/11
    • macOS
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Mobile devices
    • Printers and peripheral devices
    • AV/Video Conferencing systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Experience supporting executive-level users
  • Experience working in enterprise environments

  • Immediate start preferred.
  • Background check, MVR and drug screening required.
