We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Fresno, California on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This position will support day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate records, managing core accounting activities, and helping keep reporting current and reliable. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with bookkeeping functions, strong QuickBooks knowledge, and a consistent approach to reconciling and tracking financial data.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain organized financial records and update daily transactions in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor accounts payable activity to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare customer billing, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances within accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with preparing profit and loss statements and other routine financial reports for leadership review.
• Review account activity for accuracy and completeness, making corrections and journal entries when appropriate.
• Support month-end bookkeeping tasks by ensuring records are current and documentation is properly maintained.• At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Practical experience using QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Online.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and consistently.
• Experience preparing or supporting profit and loss reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage financial information with accuracy.
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks effectively.
