- Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records.
- Check in patients and assist with individual concerns, as they arise.
- Collect appropriate information including insurance overview, co-pay and deductible assignment and open balances.
- Perform administrative tasks and responsibilities when needed.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years in a healthcare field preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
- Patient-focused with the ability to work independently
- Capability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit; use hands; and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 25lbs
- Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
- Possess good communication and strong customer service skills
