Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to become a vital member of our Special Education Program. This full-time position allows you to provide essential mental health services to students with diverse special needs in a remote setting, specifically designed for a school environment. You will play a critical role in supporting students with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), while utilizing trauma-informed care principles.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while still maintaining regular working hours of Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role may require occasional evening shifts for parent consultations or seminars, as well as rotating weekend duties to provide comprehensive support to students and families. On-demand availability for crisis situations is also a critical aspect of this role, underscoring the need for a dedicated and responsive mental health professional.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students, determining their individual needs and developing tailored interventions.

• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing emotional well-being and promoting successful integration into the school community.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist students in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and personal growth.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address the specific challenges associated with ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

• Collaborate with educators, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to ensure coordinated care around each student’s unique needs.

• Educate students and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on students enrolled in our Special Education Program, which primarily serves individuals grappling with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). You will be instrumental in building trusting relationships with these students and their families, enabling you to provide therapeutic support that aligns with their individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• A genuine passion for working with students with special needs and a commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive academic environments.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with students and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates to have at least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly in school or special education programs. Experience with trauma-informed care and a thorough understanding of current mental health disorders and treatment modalities are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 104,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
