Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are sensitive to their unique needs, aspirations, and challenges.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective treatment tailored to each client’s circumstances.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, including available treatment options and self-care strategies to empower them in their healing journey.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process through regular follow-ups and progress assessments, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

• Work in concert with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, cohesive care that meets all aspects of clients' mental health needs.

• Stay informed about the latest research and trends in the field of mental health to continuously refine and enhance therapeutic practices.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans meticulously in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to strengthen practical skills and keep abreast of best practices.

• Act as an advocate for clients dealing with mood disorders, helping to diminish stigma and promote visibility for mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on clients experiencing mood disorders, including, but not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of New York.

• Proven expertise in evidence-based modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• A successful track record of achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
