Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, laying the groundwork for effective treatment.

• Collaborate with clients to design customized treatment plans that reflect their personal goals and incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Implement therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), utilizing best-practice methodologies to support client progress.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote informed decision-making.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, employing regular reviews and making necessary adaptations to align with evolving client needs.

• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to guarantee an integrated approach to client care.

• Stay updated on advancements in mood disorder treatment and research to continuously refine clinical practice.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and associated anxiety disorders. Your engagement will focus on empowering clients through therapeutic dialogues, personalized treatment frameworks, and ongoing support, addressing their emotional and psychological needs holistically.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Demonstrated expertise in therapeutic modalities for mood disorders, with proficiency in CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and collaborative care practices.

• Proven history of successful client outcomes in managing mood disorders.
