Our busy, well-established 3-doctor optometry practice is seeking a friendly, professional, and motivated Patient Care & Optical Sales Specialist to join our team.

This unique role combines patient care, front office responsibilities, and eyewear sales. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating an outstanding patient experience from start to finish.

No optical experience? No problem. We are happy to train the right candidate with strong customer service, retail, sales, or healthcare experience.

About the Role

As a Patient Care & Optical Sales Specialist, you will play an important role in helping patients feel welcomed, informed, and confident throughout their visit. From scheduling appointments and assisting with insurance questions to helping patients select eyewear that fits their needs and lifestyle, you will be a key part of delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out
• Answer phones, manage emails, and schedule appointments
• Verify and process vision and medical insurance
• Maintain accurate patient records and perform data entry
• Assist patients with frame and lens selections
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear solutions
• Manage eyewear orders and patient follow-up
• Support daily office operations and team goals
• Help create a welcoming, professional office environment

What We're Looking For

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Professional, positive, and dependable attitude
• Sales, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or customer-facing experience preferred
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable learning new technology and office systems
• Detail-oriented and team-focused mindset

Experience in optical, medical, luxury retail, jewelry, fashion, cosmetics, hospitality, or consultative sales is a plus, but not required.
