Accounts Payable Lead

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable function within a large, complex organization. This individual will be responsible for leading and developing two AP Clerks, standardizing AP processes, and serving as the subject matter expert for the full procure-to-pay lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with deep accounts payable knowledge and can establish structure, consistency, and best practices across the team. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and oversee a team of 2 Accounts Payable Clerks Establish and implement standardized AP workflows, SOPs, and best practices Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and escalations Oversee vendor setup, maintenance, and compliance processes Manage check runs and payment processing activities Review AP operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls Identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational consistency across the team Partner with accounting and finance leadership on AP-related initiatives Monitor AP metrics, aging, and vendor relationships to ensure timely payments Utilize Excel and ERP systems to analyze AP data and support reporting needs We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
