Job Duties

• Conduct assessments on patients spanning from the pediatric to geriatric populations by utilizing both observational and standardized methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that align with both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Engage in direct speech therapy sessions focusing on various aspects of language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to create cohesive treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to facilitate improvement in communication outside of clinical settings.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the care process.
• Maintain precise and timely patient records in compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaborative learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
