Pharmacy Technician | Specialty Pharmacy | Hybrid ScheduleHybrid schedule after training$23-$25/hr pay rangeMonday-Friday hours with excellent work-life balanceBreak into or expand your specialty pharmacy experienceWork directly with patients and healthcare professionalsCollaborative, mission-driven team environmentOpportunity to convert to a permanent positionGain experience in patient access, insurance verification, and specialty medication managementWhat You'll DoAs a Patient Care Coordinator/Pharmacy Technician, you'll serve as a trusted resource for patients receiving specialty medications by:Contacting patients and caregivers to coordinate medication shipments and refill requestsBuilding strong, compassionate relationships through exceptional customer serviceSupporting medication adherence and helping patients stay on therapyProcessing new prescription orders and refill requestsVerifying insurance coverage, benefits, and payment optionsDocumenting patient information, concerns, and treatment-related updatesCoordinating with pharmacists, nurses, providers, and physician offices to support patient careTracking shipments, deliveries, and order status updatesMaintaining accurate records throughout the prescription fulfillment processAssisting with pharmacy operations and medication fulfillment activitiesUtilizing pharmacy systems and Microsoft Excel to support workflow management and reportingEnsuring patients receive medications and supplies accurately and on timeWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsActive Illinois Pharmacy Technician LicenseNational Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDStrong communication and customer service skillsSolid attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsSpecialty pharmacy experiencePatient access or reimbursement experiencePrior authorization knowledgeCall center experienceBilingual candidates encouraged to applyExperience working with pharmacy or healthcare systemsWork Environment & ScheduleThis position begins with onsite training in the NW suburbs of Chicago.
