Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Fountain Hills Physiotherapy, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including detailed history intake and functional assessments, to create individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families, ensuring their active participation in goal-setting.
• Apply evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's condition, closely monitoring and adjusting therapeutic activities as needed.
• Consult with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including evaluations, progress summaries, and discharge plans that comply with regulatory standards.
• Engage in discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring that patients leave with a clear understanding of their recovery journey.
• Participate in departmental goal-setting and contribute ideas for improving treatment protocols and patient services.
• Actively engage in marketing initiatives to promote hospital services to the community.
• Mentor and serve as a clinical instructor to students and new staff, fostering the growth of the next generation of professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with diverse demographics, including active adults, seniors, and athletes, tailoring your approach to address a variety of functional limitations and recovery goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will hold:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy highly preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association.
• A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and enhancing the patient experience.

Preferred Experience

Although prior work experience in physical therapy is not required, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or knowledge of contemporary therapeutic techniques are highly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with documentation processes and compliance with health regulations is a plus.
