Job Title: Case Manager RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Care Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, previous charge experience required License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Acute hospital experience required - Experience with ICU, MS, PICU, SDU, PCU, IMC, and observation specialties required - Experience in case management and utilization review - Experience with discharge planning and needs assessment required - Familiarity with CMS regulations required - Experience with EPIC charting system required Description: This position requires a registered nurse with a specialty in case management. The candidate will work 4x10 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The focus of the role is on effective care coordination and discharge planning. The candidate must be flexible with scheduling and committed to attendance. The candidate is expected to adhere to strict compliance deadlines. The ability to determine medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines is essential. Knowledge of current procedural terminology coding and billing is necessary. The role includes assessing patient needs and ordering durable medical equipment. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and safety goals is critical. Candidates must be prepared to pass a required EKG exam during compliance. Study materials for the EKG exam are not provided, so preparation is expected. This position requires the ability to float to other locations as needed.
