Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' needs through physical assessments, medical history reviews, and discussions about their symptoms and mobility challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of assistive equipment.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to track patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and modifications to treatment plans as needed.
• Instruct patients and their families in the practice of treatment regimens, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools required for successful home care.
• Maintain up-to-date records of patient treatments, responses, and progress towards prescribed therapeutic goals to facilitate quality care and communication among the healthcare team.
• Participate in case reviews and brainstorming sessions with fellow therapists to discuss cases and improve treatment strategies collaboratively.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in physical therapy practices by attending workshops, pursuing continuing education opportunities, and engaging with professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Elixir Life, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes children recovering from sports injuries, adults dealing with post-operative rehabilitation, and seniors requiring mobility enhancement due to age-related challenges. Your objective will be to empower each patient, guiding them through their unique healing journeys by enhancing their physical abilities and promoting their independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies and accurate assessments.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice within New Jersey.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with EHR systems, to maintain patient records and communications.
• A high degree of adaptability and responsiveness to patient needs, ensuring a tailored approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• While we're open to new graduates, a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred to enhance the quality of mentorship and patient care.
