Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgical procedures and implement appropriate treatment plans in a home care setting.
• Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances and therapeutic goals.
• Monitor and document patient treatments, responses, and progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained for continuity of care.
• Reassess and redefine therapeutic goals as patients progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Provide recommendations and fittings for assistive devices to enhance patient self-care and mobility.
• Educate patients, caregivers, families, and other members of the healthcare team on effective usage of assistive devices and physical therapy techniques to ensure optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices by attending workshops, reading professional literature, and participating in professional societies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our facility, you will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors who present with a range of conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain syndromes, and neurological disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in developing recovery strategies that empower patients to regain their independence and improve their functional abilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to adapt to a fluid work environment and manage multiple patient needs simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in a home care setting or rehabilitation facility will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
