Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Avenel, NJ. The facility is designed to provide an engaging and comfortable atmosphere for both therapy and recovery. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations of patients in their homes, assessing their physical condition and functional needs as they recover from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.
• Create and implement tailored treatment plans that encompass a range of therapeutic methods, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and innovative rehabilitation technologies.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on individual needs and outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and rehabilitation processes, ensuring they are confident and capable of continuing their recovery independently.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care, addressing physical limitations and functional goals.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in physical therapy through continuous education and professional development workshops.
• Make recommendations for assistive devices and train patients on their effective use for improved mobility and self-care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapists work with a diverse client base that includes individuals of all ages and varying health conditions. From young athletes recovering from sports injuries to seniors needing rehabilitation following surgery, our therapists provide personalized care that addresses specific needs while considering the overall well-being of each patient.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including electronic health records and documentation systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our patients.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, preferably in home care or outpatient rehabilitation.
• Experience using assistive devices and modalities in therapy sessions.
• Familiarity with a variety of rehabilitation techniques, including aquatic therapy or advanced manual therapy methods.

Compensation and Benefits
