Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking an experienced respiratory care professional to support neonatal and pediatric patients on a 13-week assignment. This contract position calls for a dedicated clinician with a proven background working in both NICU and PICU environments. The role involves caring for critically ill infants and children during night shifts, with rotated weekends making flexibility essential.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in intensive care units
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and ongoing clinical needs
• Administer oxygen, ventilator support, and specialized respiratory interventions
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and allied health teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Rapidly respond to emergencies, providing life-saving interventions when required
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
• Maintain accurate records of therapy, progress, and assessments in accordance with facility standards

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active NRP and PALS certifications are mandatory
• Recent clinical experience in both NICU and PICU settings
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility)

$2,200 - $2,319/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
