- Create Personalized Treatment Approaches: Assess patients' needs to devise tailored therapy initiatives that enhance their functional outcomes.
- Implement Evidence-Based Practices: Apply scientifically-backed techniques to improve patients' skills in daily living and mobility.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Partner with OT colleagues, physiotherapists, speech therapists, doctors, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Instruct clients and their caregivers on effective techniques that promote continued improvement at home.
- Track Progress and Make Adjustments: Continuously evaluate patient development and modify therapy plans to keep them aligned with goals.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Encouragement and support for continued education and post-graduate certifications.
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification essential.
