Provides clerical and receptionist duties in a nursing unit. Responsible for knowing the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the Medical Center. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a communication system that promotes positive intra and interdepartmental working relationships.

Education

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• HS Diploma

Certification & Licensure

• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider preferred

Preferred Experience As Typically Acquired In

• Recent experience or education as a Ward Clerk in health care environment or equivalent.

Skills And Knowledge

• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of English language w/strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills in a diverse population.
• Training skills required.
• Basic keyboarding and computer skills
• Must be able to work in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.

Job Shift: Evenings

Schedule: Part Time

Shift Hours: 8

Days of the Week: Variable

Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend
