Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across a spectrum of age groups, integrating standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate needs and long-lasting communication or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy geared toward enhancing communication, language, fluency, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals for holistic care strategies, sharing insights with physical therapists, occupational therapists, caregivers, and family members.
• Provide education to patients and their families, ensuring they feel supported during and beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to state and federal regulations as well as organizational protocols.
• Pursue continuing education and collaborative opportunities to stay abreast of new advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not ASHA-certified yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
