Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

As a member of the accounting team, this position will compile and maintain accounts payable records.

What you will be doing:

• Verifies and matches invoices, receiving records and purchase orders.
• Verifies general ledger coding or assigns appropriate coding when necessary.
• Posts invoices through computer systems.
• Prepares payment batches daily.
• Answers all vendor inquiries and work closely to solve any invoice problems.
• Reconciles vendor statements.
• Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
• Trouble shoots problems involving receivers and invoices.
• Sorts mail daily and distributes to appropriate Accounts Payable Clerk.
• Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Works with Internal departments to get invoices approved and coded.
• Prepares Copies and analysis of various expense categories
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

What we are looking for:

• Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or three years relevant experience and/or training.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and experience with AS400, JD Edward system and Perceptive preferred.
• The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 25 pounds.
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
