Extended School Year, Special Education Educational Assistants, Summer 2026 Position Type: Summer Programming/ ESY Educational Assistant Date Posted: 3/19/2026 Location: District Wide Position Title Extended School Year, Special Education Educational Assistants Primary Location TBD Based on Student Enrollment Assignment Specifications August 3rd - August 14th: Monday through Friday, 8:45am to 12:15pm Group Affiliation/Policy Educational Assistants Classification B-2-2 Exempt Status Non-Exempt Pay Range $19.70 to $27.57 Responsibilities Educational Assistants work under the direct supervision of a teacher or other certified personnel. The educational assistant does not have responsibility for making decisions about any aspect of a student's educational program but is an integral part of the educational team because he or she provides the support a teacher needs to maximize instructional time. Duties assigned may include monitoring and escorting students, record keeping, charting monthly activity logs, material preparation, reinforcement or previously taught lessons, and restraints when called for as per an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or student care plan. Qualifications Applicants will ideally be available for all session dates.
