Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - IV Start - Telemetry - Ventilator management experience Description: Join our Critical Care Float Pool for weekend Day shifts with flexibility to meet unit needs as they arise. Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity. Responsibilities include providing critical care in Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, and more. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Proficiency with EPIC is required. Candidates must have experience with IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management. This role requires competency in critical care skills such as accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and blood product administration. Additionally, nurses will be involved in ventilator management and care of ventilated patients. Effective interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction is essential. The position will also involve interaction with interdisciplinary support teams. Trained nurses will be responsible for various patient diagnoses and special procedures.
