Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description Electro Enterprises Inc. is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the overall goals and objectives of the Accounting department. Candidate should have Accounts payable experience, as well as overall accounting knowledge. Accuracy and efficiency are absolutely paramount in our industry, thus the individuals we are looking for pay very special attention to detail. These dynamic candidates will need to have strong communication skills, the ability to adapt to new tasks and change priorities quickly. This is an office environment and will require previous office experience. Preferred experience: Experience working in a clerical/office type environment 10 Key proficiency/ 10-key calculators, typewriters, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents. Minimum of 2 years accounts payable experience Minimum of 6 months experience in collections At least six months solid data entry experience Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records Computer Skills: Word Processing Software, spreadsheet and internet software, order processing software. Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.
