Student Worker – Student Life Activities Board Leader Neveda State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker to support the Student Life Activities Board. The Board is a student-driven organization dedicated to creating, planning, and executing campus-wide events that enhance campus culture and provide leadership experiences for students. Core Responsibilities Help students feel welcome and connected by planning large‑scale and small‑scale events and programming through the Office of Student Life. Track and manage the annual budget for the Student Life Activities Board. Provide excellent communication and customer service to students and vendors inquiring about programs. Meet one‑on‑one with the Student Life Activities Board Advisor for check‑ins and professional development. Maintain accurate records of receipts, invoices, and purchase orders for the year. Provide a monthly report to the Nevada State Student Alliance on expenditures and event attendance. Support the creation of promotional items and marketing of all student life activities. Help create post‑attendance surveys to gather data for improving the campus life experience. Provide input on event effectiveness and suggest improvements based on participant interactions and outcomes. Work effectively with other Student Life and NSSA student workers, staff, and campus partners to ensure coordinated support for students. Support large‑scale events such as Convocation, Commencement, and other events for Nevada State. Minimum Qualifications Good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Enrolled as a degree‑seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State. Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Creative and demonstrate personal initiative. Willingness to create an engaging and robust campus life. Flexible and open schedule availability for events and programs. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working on campus. Previous experience in a customer‑service driven position. Familiarity with BeEngaged.nevadastate.edu. Experience using Canva or other platforms for creating promotional items. Work Hours & Compensation This position will work 19.5 hours per week. Scheduled hours may be outside of the Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm office hours due to events and programs. Hourly rate: $12.00 per hour.
