Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with the clients’ goals, preferences, and specific therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client concerns.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest research related to mental health practices and mood disorders, integrating new findings into treatment strategies.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in professional development activities such as case consultations and team meetings to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Advocate for clients by removing mental health stigma and addressing their needs both within and outside our clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is on clients dealing with divorce, relationship discord, and mood disorders. The therapist will work closely with varied demographics, including veterans and their families, understanding their unique backgrounds, experiences, and the challenges they face. We emphasize personalized care that acknowledges each individual's story and strength.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
