We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the company's general accounting operations within a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing core accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, overseeing cash flow, maintaining appropriate accounting controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax and reporting requirements.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the company's accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll activities.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial system integration transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Develop, implement, and administer appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Maintain accounting controls related to inventory, purchasing, and other operational activities.
Manage the company's day-to-day cash flow and monitor working capital needs.
Oversee outstanding customer accounts and drive timely collections.
Prepare and compile data for regularly scheduled and special accounting reports, analyses, and financial statements.
Coordinate year-end financial audits and 401(k) audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.
Coordinate periodic customer and financial audits.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax, financial, and government reporting requirements.
Maintain accurate financial and operating information to support business decision-making.
Provide accounting guidance and support to other areas of the organization as needed.
Train, coach, and develop accounting staff while managing work assignments and priorities.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and efficiency.
Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of general accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Experience overseeing multiple accounting functions such as AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Manufacturing accounting and inventory experience strongly preferred.
Prior staff leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
Experience working with ERP or integrated financial systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
