Restoration Marketing & Business Development Representative

About Us

Lakes Restoration is a licensed general contractor specializing in water damage mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, and full reconstruction. We're looking for an experienced marketer to build and lead our referral network.

Territory

You'll market across our full service area: Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, San Bernardino, and parts of Kern County.

Schedule

This is a field-based role. You'll be in the office about once a week for a business development meeting. The position includes occasional evening and weekend networking events, such as association meetings, industry mixers, and community functions.

What You'll Do

•      Build and maintain referral relationships with plumbers, property managers, insurance agents, independent and staff adjusters, leak detection companies, HOA managers, and commercial facility managers

•      Run a consistent weekly schedule of in-person marketing calls, drop-ins, and lunch-and-learns across the territory

•      Represent Lakes at industry and networking events, including insurance associations, property management groups, and chamber events

•      Track all activity, contacts, and referrals in our CRM

•      Respond to new losses with our team when needed, help convert leads into signed jobs, and may be asked to obtain signed work authorizations or contracts

•      Help shape marketing materials, social media, and local campaigns

•      Report weekly on activity, new accounts, and referral volume

As Lakes Restoration expands, the right person will have the opportunity to build and manage their own marketing and sales team.

What You Bring

•      Required: 2+ years of marketing or business development experience

•      Self-directed, organized, and comfortable spending most of the week in the field

•      Availability for occasional evening and weekend events

•      Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record

•      Plus: Working knowledge of the insurance claims process and how restoration jobs are referred and won

•      Plus: Experience in the restoration industry (water, fire, mold, or construction)

•      Big plus: an existing book of business, meaning active relationships with plumbers, property managers, agents, or adjusters in Southern California

Compensation & Benefits

•      $55,000–$72,000 annually, depending on experience and existing relationships

•      Uncapped commission on revenue from jobs you bring in (Commission based on experience and existing relationships)

•      Overtime paid on all qualifying hours

•      Company vehicle

•      Company credit card for business expenses

•      Company phone and laptop

•      Paid vacation, sick time, and paid holidays after a 90-day introductory period

•      Realistic first-year earnings of $80,000–$120,000+ for a strong performer
