Medical Science Liaison-- Genetic Counselor - Rare Disease

Labcorp seeks a field-based genetic counselor to serve as a medical science liaison for rare disease testing across the West region. The role involves educating healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and payers on genetic testing products and building strategic relationships through scientific expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers
- Deliver educational content on Labcorp rare disease testing panels to clinicians and payers
- Support field sales team with expertise on cardiology, neurology, immunology and other rare disease offerings
- Collaborate with marketing to create educational materials, speaker programs and CME events
- Attend scientific conferences and summarize findings for leadership and marketing teams
Requirements
- Master's degree in genetic counseling or human genetics
- American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification
- 2+ years clinical genetic counseling experience
- 1+ year rare disease specialty genetic counseling experience
- Knowledge of molecular diagnostic technologies and rare disease market
- Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned West region territory
Compensation: $120,000–$155,000 per year
