Business Attorney (Global Law Firm)

Business Litigation Attorney Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a global law firm with a stated focus on technology, energy, and infrastructure. We are seeking a mid-level business litigation attorney to join its New York Office. The firm's business litigation practice represents a wide range of companies and individuals in federal and state court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. The practice has grown alongside the firm's expanding focus on the technology, energy and infrastructure, and financial services sectors, and the associate hired into this role will work on complex, high-stakes disputes arising from those industries Key Responsibilities Manage substantial components of large, sophisticated business litigation matters from pleadings through trial and appeal Draft dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive court filings Take and defend depositions and manage discovery strategy Work directly with partners and senior associates on collaborative case teams at the local and national level Maintain direct client contact and contribute to case strategy Support matters in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution venues Qualifications 3–5 years of complex business litigation experience Minimum of one year of litigation experience at a law firm New York bar admission (required) Excellent academic credentials Superb written and oral advocacy skills Experience managing large and sophisticated litigation matters Judicial clerkship experience a plus, but not required Cover letter, law school transcripts, references, and a brief writing sample will be requested if considered for next steps Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $260,000 – $365,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience Annual discretionary bonus Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employee assistance program with mental health concierge and therapy services Firm-wide well-being program, weekly meditation sessions, and free mindfulness app access Peloton app membership and health advocate services Generous PTO plus dedicated personal health days Paid holidays and paid sabbaticals Additional paid personal days, bereavement leave, and leaves of absence Paid leave for new parents Fertility coverage assistance and adoption assistance Backup care for children and adults, and elder care services Life, long-term disability, long-term care, and personal accident insurance Pet insurance 401(k) with matching plus an annual retirement contribution from the firm Firm HSA contribution (for HDHP enrollees) and flexible spending accounts Student loan refinancing programs, educational assistance, and financial consultation services Paid community service day, nonprofit involvement programs, and firm social events Benefits may vary by office location and role.
