Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status of patients and, when necessary, make accurate diagnoses using appropriate tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). This ensures an individualized plan of care that is culturally sensitive and meets the unique needs of each patient.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, setting actionable objectives that promote engagement and progress while also addressing safety and symptom reduction.
• Provide ongoing psychotherapy sessions and interventions for individuals and families, utilizing evidence-based practices that anticipate and support the mental health diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with regulatory standards and departmental procedures, employing current electronic health record systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between patients and external referral providers, ensuring that our clients have access to necessary resources and support systems.
• Actively engage in professional development by providing mentorship and educational opportunities for students and early-career professionals, nurturing the next generation of mental health practitioners.
• Participate in clinical reviews, case collaborations, and team meetings that foster accountability and community within the team, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work primarily with individuals and families affected by cancer, a group that requires specialized care and understanding. Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing outpatient therapy, particularly in oncology or related mental health fields.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a cancer patient population is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with integrated care models and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Previous involvement in multidisciplinary team settings will be advantageous, as collaboration is key to our approach.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, reflecting the level of expertise and commitment of the individual selected for this role.
