The Production Operator II will contribute to safe plant operations by handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and meeting the standard operating procedures of Airgas.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to complete training and achieve certifications for filling all cryogenic liquids and pure industrial gases.
• Ability to complete FDA, Food Grade, and CGMP Training and achieve certifications
• Must be able to operate forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in related manufacturing operation; filling or loading experience preferred
• Strong background in gas, welding, and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong level of attention to detail.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

The hourly base pay range for this position in California is $24.50/hr. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only. Airgas considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
