Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess their physical conditions and needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual patient goals and conditions.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic care utilizing a range of techniques, including manual therapy, exercise therapy, and modalities in accordance with the established treatment plan.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises, self-management techniques, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to the treatment protocols as required.
• Promote an atmosphere of patient engagement and motivation by delivering excellent customer service, enhancing participation in care.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maximize patient outcomes through integrated care approaches and sharing of best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will work with a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. You will address a variety of conditions ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory.
• A current and valid state license in Physical Therapy is required to practice in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective patient education and interprofessional collaboration.
• Proficiency in computer systems and word processing to maintain accurate patient records.
• A strong ability to build rapport with patients, fostering trust and motivating them to achieve their recovery goals.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapist role is preferred, allowing for seasoned clinical judgment.
