Career And College Readiness Coordinator

The Career and College Readiness Coordinator will serve as a liaison connecting community partners with CTE programs, WBL and ELO opportunities that support student success in determining postsecondary plans. Additionally, the CCRP will serve as career and college counselor to all students enrolled in the Career Technical Center. The CCRP Coordinator will also serve as an assistant to the CTE Director in some administrative task areas related to program planning for students.

Responsibilities To be carried out within the greater Seacoast area throughout the annual school calendar and in accordance with the bargaining unit contract:

• Supports the recruitment and enrollment of students into introductory courses and CTE programs.
• Promotes and facilitates extended learning opportunities (ELOs) for students to obtain skills through competency-based, hands-on learning opportunities.
• Coordinates the CTE career & college readiness programming and a student digital portfolio of evidence including but, not limited to:
• Providing an outline of career development activities aligned to specific grade level completion.
• Developing content and recommending online components to achieve college and career readiness for each student.
• Collaborating across departments to provide the necessary support and professional development for teachers and counselors to facilitate career and college readiness and digital portfolio completion for all students.
• Creating and sharing a tool(s) to assess student's college and career readiness and digital portfolio completion on an annual basis.
• Serves as a liaison between the school and community/industry partners in order to develop partnership opportunities that support career development opportunities (including but not limited to work-based learning, extended learning, and program advisory opportunities).
• Provides career guidance to individuals and groups utilizing various career exploration tools (ie. Career Cruising, Naviance, O*Net, etc.).
• Assists CTE completers in future planning and compiles follow-up statistics for center completers at three intervals (to be determined) following high school/CTE completion.
• Represents the CTC on various in-school committees and community groups, as well as at business and professional venues.
• Assists in the review of established programs to assess student interests and needs.
• Assists in the planning and development of course schedules to optimize student participation in programs at the regional center.
• Collects and reports data for CTE students as required by the NHDOE and the Perkins V Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act.
• Coordinates informational tours for potential CTE students, parents/guardians, community partners, and surrounding SAU staff.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of CTE.

Qualifications Graduate of an approved Guidance and Counseling Program or equivalent Master's Degree; NH Guidance Counselor Certification or eligible for certification in the State of New Hampshire, certification to be accomplished within one year from date of hire. Training and experience in Career Development Facilitation and Career Counseling. Strong interpersonal and advanced verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively present information to groups of individuals, guide decision making and build consensus. Ability to present written documents that are clear, concise and grammatically correct. Ability to operate personal computers utilizing spreadsheet, word processing, slide show, and database software. Successful completion of criminal history background check.

Reports To Director of Career and Technical Education- Region 19 PHS-CTC, with input from the SAU. Pay Rate: Follow Negotiated Pay Rate (See Teacher's Agreement)
