QMHP - Intern Mental Health, Columbia (RICHLAND)

Overview The South Carolina Department of Corrections offers a unique internship program for college students in the midlands and all across the state. Interns will experience state institutions, gain knowledge from professionals, and build skills through hands‑on involvement in their desired field. Students are encouraged to take part in projects as well as day‑to‑day operations of their divisions. Responsibilities Internship program will be a minimum of 8 weeks with a maximum of 28 hours per week. Interns must have frequent reviews with their direct supervisor. Requirements Must be 18 years of age. Must be a legal U.S. citizen. Must be a current college student enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's program. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation. Must be able to pass a drug test upon processing date. Preferred Qualifications A current college student enrolled in psychology, counseling, social work or criminal justice at the associate, bachelor's, master's or doctoral level.
