This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Columbia Area Mental Health Center, (CAMHC), Adult Clinic Services, CAMHC #006. As the Mental Health Professional II, working under limited supervision, you will provide oversight to the Adult Clinic Services (ACS) mental health providers. Provide clinical and administrative supervision for ACS counselors in the outpatient clinic. Assist the ACS program director in various tasks. Complete EPMS evaluations and lead/co-lead staff meetings. Responsibilities for this Mental Health Professional II :

- Provide administrative and clinical supervision to staff of ACS.
- Provide an array of clinical services to promote recovery, stabilization and independence based on the patient's needs and plan of care. Perform the function of this position in an efficient manner as evidenced by staff meeting patient care hour expectation as addressed in Productivity Protocol for the months included in rating period.
- Collect, organize, and record data and information in each patient's medical record according to Quality Assurance standards, CARF guidelines and Corporate Compliance standards.
- Attend and participate in Multidisciplinary team meetings to plan treatment for patients, enhance the programs operation, and communicate with other staff/family members while being responsive to the needs of the patients of ACS.
- Comply with the Office of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties.
- A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social science or related field, and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have knowledge of local agencies and facilities.
- Licensure as a LPC, LISW, etc.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Post hire, employees must:
- Have thorough knowledge of psychopathology, diagnostics, counseling, case management and recovery.
- Have good interpersonal skills to work with patients and other agencies.
- Be able to provide services to serious, persistent mentally ill persons and the dually diagnosed.
- Be able to work with families of patients.
- Be able to function independently and with minimal supervision.
- Be able to pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
