You’ll be supporting Live events and economy rollout to our players with our LiveOps team by packaging your assets together for dynamic delivery to players.Essential Job Functions:Mentor the art team in the technical aspects of Unity asset creationPerform R&D for new tech required for feature implementation through creative problem solving, iterative design, and prototypingAssist in developing standards, processes, and proprietary tools alongside Production and Development teamsDocument processes and procedures for game features and associated Unity implementationAdhere to file structure in artistic source, directory, and version managementCommunicate between engineers, designers, and non-technical artists to package assets efficiently for quality products on the target platformCommunicate with LiveOps and Configuration Managers to identify, package, create, and verify assets required to support in-game events and economy rollouts.Own technical delivery of assets for scheduled updates, ensuring all assets are fully tested and perform and reliably delivered against production deadlines.Demonstrate a strong desire to continuously improve skills through independent learning and collaboration with team members; identify more efficient processes to improve throughputMaintain a high degree of professionalism and receptiveness to critique from team membersSelf-manage time effectively with a reasonable degree of accountability and minimal instructionCreate 2D assets for all aspects of the product including UI, composition, VFX, and animationsOversee and support with items across the art pipeline -- from asset optimization, exporting, through implementation and testEducation: Bachelor of Arts in art/animation or technical degree or equivalent industry experience.At least 3 years previous experience as a digital artist with a considerable amount of technical responsibility.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Deep practical knowledge of what Unity can and can’t do especially regarding the UI system, Mechanim, timelines, the particle system, shaders and materials, optimizations and troubleshooting.Proficient in Photoshop, Unity, 3DS MaxProficient in UI Design and development in UnityProficient in Unity animation systems and knowledge of event driven programmingProficient in implementing art into Unity prefabs complete with animations and atlasesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of how to design art for various themes and target platformWorking knowledge of production collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)Proficient in Asset management and managing branching inside of version control systems (Git)Working knowledge of MS Office3D experienceLevel Requirements:Portfolio (website or blog required for pre-interview)Bonus XP:Released titles that use Unity game engineWorking knowledge of Unity’s Universal Rendering PipelineAnimation – 2D character specificScripting ability to common art tooling (Photoshop, 3dx Max)C# scripting knowledge in UnityScripting ability using PythonWe are SciPlay!
