Position OverviewWe are seeking a polished, professional, and knowledgeable Fine Dining Captain to join our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, possesses a strong understanding of fine dining etiquette, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to…)- Provide an elevated guest experience by delivering attentive, personalized service
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the food and beverage menus, including wine and spirits (natural wine knowledge is a plus)
- Guide guests through their dining experience with thoughtful recommendations and menu insight
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization in the dining area
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and service procedures according to company policy and health regulations
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, escalating when necessary
- 2+ years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings (formal training or certification is a plus)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Grace under pressure and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha, or similar)
