Toscano is a full-service restaurant offering a wide range of Italian cuisine including pastas, steaks, chops, seafood, Naples-style pizzas, and house-made gelato. As a Chef with us, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to our growing success in providing exceptional dining experiences. Daily Responsibilities: Menu planning to create innovative and appealing dishes Ensuring portion control to maintain food costs Demonstrating excellent knife skills for precision in food preparation Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation Overseeing back of house operations to ensure smooth kitchen workflow Required Skills: A minimum of two years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume fine dining restaurant Experience and understanding of Ordering and Cost Management Capability to train Staff (Line Cooks / Prep Cooks) Possess great Time Management Skills Understanding of various cooking methods, equipment, ingredients, and procedures Proficient in food handling and preparation Knowledge of catering and quality of service standards Strong cooking skills Understanding of food and beverage management principles ServSafe Certified Food Handler's Permit Required Expertise in food safety practices Knowledge of merchandising for food products Salary and Benefits: Salary DOE - Salary Range: $60,000-70,000 per year Health Insurance (Partially paid; available after thirty days of Full-Time Employment Dental Insurance Vacation Leave A minimum 45-hour work week required Company Information: Toscano is a full-service restaurant located in Draper, UT - We are now expanding and opening a second location in Herriman, UT.
