Global Account Manager (Hyperscale)

Job Summary As a Global Account Manager, you will maintain executive‑level client relationships at key multinational organizations and provide consultative selling to support strategic long‑term objectives and profitability. You will align Wesco’s resources to support clients’ needs on a global scale, maximize growth opportunities, and expand product sets internationally. Your role includes driving profitability through strategic account management, new business development, and managing complex accounts, programs, and projects. Responsibilities Ensure achievement of global sales revenue targets. Develop executive relationships across countries internally and externally. Negotiate contracts and master supply agreements, understanding legal terms and risk landscape. Identify opportunities, assemble pursuit plans, facilitate contract negotiations, and build execution teams to meet financial performance goals. Execute strategies to attract, grow, and maintain global customer relationships, including customer mapping and reference selling. Lead the development and execution of Strategic Account Plans, reporting to senior management globally. Provide tactical and strategic leadership in opportunity identification and issue resolution within assigned accounts or business units. Pursue new agreements, value‑add commitments, and increase customer wallet share. Maintain a pipeline of opportunities at named accounts, including renewals, projects, and share‑improvement initiatives. Engage strategic suppliers and senior management resources to support solutions aligned with corporate supplier strategy. Identify cross‑sales opportunities and facilitate multi‑person sales cycles while retaining customer control. Collaborate across Wesco to own strategic solutions. Communicate customer activity, opportunity status, renewal status, and strategic project progress to the executive team. Lead high‑level strategic selling engagements. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend innovative solutions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred. 5+ years of proven outside sales or global account management experience. Track record of maintaining and developing key relationships. Ability to strategically manage large projects. Recognition and creation of opportunities within assigned accounts. Understanding of strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong client relationships. Navigation of political landscapes in complex customers, reaching decision‑makers regardless of title. Negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office. Confidence and resilience under internal and external pressure. Cultural sensitivity and ability to navigate across cultures. 5 years of executive‑level key account management experience. 5 years of experience executing within a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders and projects. Ability to travel 25%–50%. Compensation $95,717 - $143,576 annually (actual offer may vary based on location, education, experience, and other factors). Eligible positions may include bonuses, sales incentives, and commissions per applicable plans.
