As we continue to expand our impact, we are seeking a strategic, data-driven marketing leader to help accelerate growth across fundraising, awareness, partnerships, and community engagement.

Position Overview

The Head of Marketing & Strategic Growth will lead the organization's overall marketing strategy, brand development, donor growth initiatives, partnerships, advertising efforts, and long-term campaign planning. This individual will serve as a senior strategic leader responsible for aligning marketing, fundraising, communications, and partnership efforts under one cohesive vision that advances the organization's mission and growth objectives.

This role is ideal for a creative and analytical leader who can develop high-impact campaigns, identify growth opportunities, evaluate performance metrics, and build strategic partnerships that increase awareness, adoptions, and fundraising success.

The Head of Marketing will oversee a team of approximately five employees and work closely with executive leadership to drive measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

● Develop and execute BDRR's comprehensive marketing and growth strategy.

● Create a long-term roadmap that aligns marketing initiatives with organizational goals.

● Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure success across all marketing channels.

● Identify and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities.

● Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and storytelling across the organization.

Fundraising & Revenue Growth

● Lead donor acquisition and donor retention initiatives.

● Develop monthly fundraising and donor engagement campaigns.

● Oversee email fundraising strategy and campaign performance.

● Manage and optimize Google Ad Grant programs.

● Direct paid advertising efforts across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and display channels.

● Track marketing attribution and return on investment (ROI).

Media & Public Relations

● Cultivate media relationships and identify earned media opportunities.

● Coordinate television appearances and publicity initiatives.

● Manage influencer, ambassador, and celebrity partnerships.

● Assist in developing speeches, talking points, and messaging for executive leadership.

● Expand brand visibility through strategic communications and storytelling.

Analytics & Performance Reporting

● Monitor and analyze:

○ Social media performance

○ Website analytics

○ Email marketing results

○ Advertising ROI

○ Conversion funnels

○ Donor acquisition and retention metrics

○ Competitor activity and benchmarking

○ Industry trends and emerging opportunities

● Deliver regular reporting and recommendations on:

○ What's working

○ What's not working

○ Areas for increased investment

○ Underperforming initiatives

○ New opportunities for growth

Campaign Development & Creative Direction

● Build and oversee major organizational campaigns.

● Develop innovative fundraising, adoption, and awareness initiatives.

● Provide creative direction and campaign strategy.

● Coordinate execution across multiple departments.

● Ensure campaigns are professionally planned, executed, and evaluated.

Partnerships & Sponsorships

● Identify, cultivate, and secure strategic partnerships.

● Develop corporate sponsorship opportunities.

● Build and manage ambassador and influencer programs.

● Establish relationships with mission-aligned brands and organizations.

● Create co-branded campaigns and collaborative initiatives that expand BDRR's reach and impact.

Qualifications

● 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, fundraising marketing, growth marketing, or related leadership roles.

● Proven experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.

● Strong understanding of paid media, digital advertising, email marketing, and donor acquisition strategies.

● Experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.

● Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.

● Highly analytical and comfortable using data to drive decision-making.

● Experience with nonprofit organizations, animal welfare organizations, or mission-driven brands is preferred.

● Demonstrated ability to build partnerships, sponsorships, and media relationships.

Preferred Skills

● Google Ad Grants management experience.

● Digital fundraising expertise.

● Marketing automation and CRM experience.

● Budget management and performance reporting.
