Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of students’ counseling needs, identifying both social and emotional aspects of their well-being.
\n
• Utilize DSM criteria to diagnose substance abuse issues and measure the severity of conditions based on ASAM guidelines, determining the appropriate treatment level.
\n
• Design and implement personalized substance abuse treatment plans, integrating academic and behavioral objectives with therapeutic goals.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on coping strategies, behavior modification, and long-term recovery.
\n
• Document all counseling sessions, assessments, recommendations, and follow-up actions in the clients’ clinical records, maintaining an up-to-date case file.
\n
• Manage a caseload of students, while coordinating resource referrals for families, connecting them to external support organizations when necessary.
\n
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to address crisis situations, fostering a prompt intervention approach for students facing acute distress.
\n
• Regularly update treatment strategies based on ongoing assessments and feedback from students and caregivers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LCSW at Silver Head Psychiatry Clinic, you will primarily work with students in educational settings who are grappling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, along with current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations with cultural competence.

• Proficient in documentation and familiar with clinical record-keeping standards.

Compensation and Benefits\n
