We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Commerce, California in a contract capacity with the potential to become permanent. This role is ideal for someone who can keep financial records accurate, manage day-to-day accounting activity, and support a smooth close process. The right candidate will bring hands-on experience with QuickBooks and core bookkeeping functions, along with the ability to handle both payables and receivables with care.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records for daily accounting transactions and reporting needs.
• Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and help ensure accounts payable activities are completed on time.
• Create customer invoices, record incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable support.
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly to verify transactions, resolve discrepancies, and keep balances current.
• Use QuickBooks and Sage MAS 90 to enter, review, and update financial data with a high level of accuracy.
• Assist with month-end bookkeeping tasks by reviewing account activity and preparing supporting documentation.
• Monitor financial entries for consistency and bring attention to issues that require correction or follow-up.• Previous experience in a bookkeeping role with responsibility for day-to-day accounting support.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks in an accounting or finance environment.
• Hands-on experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate variances when needed.
• Familiarity with Sage MAS 90 or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Effective organizational and communication skills for managing multiple priorities.
