Director Of Nursing (Don)

The Bostonian Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is currently seeking a full-time Director of Nursing (DON) to join our 5 STAR CMS RATED leadership team!

Location: 337 Neponset Avenue, Dorchester, MA

Located in the beautiful Neponset neighborhood of Dorchester, The Bostonian Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a 5-Star rated skilled nursing facility providing high-quality short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate nursing leader to join our team and help us continue our commitment to exceptional resident care. The Bostonian offers a supportive, team-oriented environment where clinical excellence, collaboration, and quality outcomes are a priority.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered Massachusetts RN license and CPR certification
Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related healthcare setting
At least one year of long-term care experience required
Previous nursing leadership and supervisory experience
Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight of nursing services to ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care
Promote strong clinical outcomes and ensure nursing practices meet applicable state and federal standards
Oversee, support, and develop nursing staff
Ensure appropriate staffing and utilization of resources
Collaborate with administration and other departments to maintain a coordinated interdisciplinary approach to care
Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the care team
Foster a positive, accountable, and supportive environment for nursing staff
Remain visible and engaged in day-to-day clinical operations, providing hands-on leadership when needed
