Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract)
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity. This role is responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor communications, reconciliations, and payment preparation. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely.
Code invoices and ensure proper approvals are obtained.
Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate vendor records and payment documentation.
Monitor AP aging reports and follow up on outstanding items.
Support special projects and other accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications:
Accounts payable or related accounting experience.
Experience with invoice processing and vendor management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
