Ramp Manager - Ground Operation

Job Overview The Ground Ramp Manager oversees all ramp operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely handling of aircraft on the ground. The role includes managing ramp teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety and operational standards. Responsibilities Manage and supervise ramp operations, including aircraft arrival, departure, and turnaround activities. Oversee the team of ramp agents, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to safety protocols. Coordinate the use of ground support equipment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and utilized. Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays. Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Communicate with flight crews, ground operations, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Prepare and present reports on ramp operations, safety audits, and staffing requirements. Safety, Security and Compliance Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and others. Cooperate with managers or supervisors to comply with legal requirements. Do not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse company resources. Notify management of any work situation or equipment that poses a serious or immediate danger. Report hazards, near‑miss incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to management. Carry out work in accordance with information, training, and specific safety and security rules or procedures. Fully understand AGI health & safety and security policies. Attend required training courses. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 70pounds in confined spaces, stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods, and work outside in all types of weather and in elevated noise levels within the airport environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in aviation, logistics, or a related field preferred. Must have authorization to work in the United States or Canada, as required by local immigration laws. Experience 5+ years of experience in ground handling or aviation operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Skills Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage teams in high‑pressure environments. Knowledge In‑depth knowledge of ramp operations, aviation safety protocols, and ground support equipment.
