Job Title: Staff Accountant, Finance
Full-Time Position

Position Overview: The Staff Accountant supports the Financial Controller with a wide variety of functions which include transactional processing, financial analysis, annual budget development and monitoring, cost allocation, annual audit support and the implementation of financial and compliance controls. S/He serves as a key resource for the organization and provides daily support to ensure that the financial records are complete, accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles, policies and regulations.

Reports To: Controller, Finance
FLSA Status: Exempt Status

Salary Range: $72,000 - $80,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process monthly billings for Airlines and other tenants
• Audit and Record Concessionaires monthly sales reports
• Record daily cash receipts and handle monthly check deposit
• Prepare detailed analysis of the monthly general ledger revenue accounts
• Maintenance monthly analysis reports
• Handle request from Airlines and other tenants
• Complete month/year-end close duties as assigned
• Perform other accounting functions as assigned
• Assist in preparation of management reports and accompanying schedules
• Assist with preparation of annual financial statements and external audit
• Contribute to department and organization special projects, as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA desirable, not required
• 2-3 years of accounting experience

Special Requirements
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances required to work at an airport.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Generally accepted accounting theories, principles, methods, practices, and terminology
• Techniques commonly used in locating errors in accounting records
• Generally accepted auditing principles, procedures, and practices
• The ability to collect and organize accounting data, interpret its significance, and prepare accurate financial reports.
• The ability to present accounting data in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical users.
• The ability to solve difficult and complex accounting and related financial problems.
