Healthcare Shares PBC is an early-stage, physician-backed healthcare venture capital firm that invests in social impact healthcare startups. We operate a venture capital fund, a venture studio, a marketing agency, and a free online community for healthcare entrepreneurship. Our mission is to positively improve healthcare through the power of entrepreneurship.

Healthcare Shares is building an ecosystem designed to support healthcare founders, clinicians, investors, operators, and industry leaders who want to help transform healthcare. Through our venture capital fund, we invest in promising healthcare startups. Through our venture studio, we help launch and support new healthcare companies. Through our marketing agency, we help healthcare startups grow their visibility, credibility, and market presence. Through our free online community, we provide education, resources, and connections for people interested in healthcare innovation, healthcare investing, and entrepreneurship.

Healthcare Shares is seeking experienced healthcare leaders, clinicians, operators, investors, entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts to join our Board of Advisors. In this role, advisors will provide strategic guidance, industry insight, and network support to help us identify, evaluate, and support high-potential healthcare startups.

This is a flexible, remote advisory opportunity for individuals who are passionate about improving healthcare through entrepreneurship, investing, and innovation. Advisors may contribute insight across healthcare sectors, including digital health, medical devices, biotech, pharma, healthcare services, payer/provider operations, healthcare AI, care delivery, clinical strategy, commercialization, business development, and startup growth.

• Provide strategic advice on healthcare market trends, investment opportunities, and startup growth strategies.

• Support Healthcare Shares in evaluating healthcare startups, founders, business models, competitive positioning, and social impact potential.

• Offer introductions, industry expertise, and guidance to portfolio companies, venture studio projects, and healthcare entrepreneurs when appropriate.

• Participate in periodic advisory board meetings and contribute insights based on your professional background and area of expertise.

• Help strengthen the Healthcare Shares ecosystem by supporting our mission, community, partnerships, and long-term growth.

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, venture capital, startups, healthcare operations, clinical care, digital health, medical devices, biotech, pharma, healthcare AI, or related fields.

• Senior leadership, advisory, board, entrepreneurial, investing, clinical, or operating experience preferred.

• Strong professional network within healthcare, investment, startup, clinical, hospital, payer, provider, pharma, biotech, or health technology ecosystems.

• Passion for social impact, healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship, and improving healthcare through practical, scalable solutions.

• Ability to commit approximately 2–4 hours per month to advisory board participation.

This advisory role offers the opportunity to receive carried interest in the Healthcare Shares venture capital fund. Advisory board members may also have opportunities to support Healthcare Shares venture studio companies and startup clients, including potential sweat equity opportunities when applicable.
